Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I park?

When you enter our gate, turn right and park in the small gravel lot. Grab your belongings, leave backpacks and purses in the car, and walk down the rest of the driveway to the barn.

When is your next available ride?

We offer rides 7 days a week, excluding most major holidays. Call us at (520) 298-7450 to schedule.

Are your horses well trained?

The majority of our horses are retired rodeo horses. This means that they have been everywhere and seen everything and are now living the casual life of a trail horse. They are all very well trained and we strive to match you to a horse that will suit your ability. We have horses for the first-time rider and for the advanced horseman.

Do you have any restrictions for riders?

Yes. We currently do not have any horses large enough to accommodate riders heavier than 250 pounds - we appreciate your honesty in disclosing your weight.

All riders must be able to speak and understand English.

Can I go fast on the horse?

We offer a private ride for individuals who want a more customized, faster ride. Check out our trail ride page for more detals!

How do I pay?

We accept cash and all major credit cards. Guests who elect to pay in cash receive a $5 discount. To reserve your space, we hold a credit card number on file. The card will not be charged unless the reservation is cancelled within the cancellation window

What should I wear/bring?

We ride through the desert and often get close to cactus and brush, so it is recommended that all riders wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Arizona is sunny! Bring a hat, water bottle and wear sunscreen. During the summer you may want to bring a bandana for the dust. During the winter we recommend dressing in layers, as temperature can vary greatly during the ride.

Do you accept riders with disabilities?

Absolutely! We just ask that you let us know in advance so we can pick a horse that will give them the best experience for their ability level. The only disabilities we cannot accommodate are individuals with atlantoaxial instability and those with grand mal seizures.

Do I have to know how to ride/what if I am scared?

We have horses available for all skill levels to help everyone from the first-time timid rider to advanced lifelong equestrians! From our mounting blocks to our wranglers guiding, we aim to accommodate each rider’s specific needs.

Can I tip my guide?

Certainly! Tips are never expected and always appreciated. We recommend bringing cash so that you are able to tip your wrangler if you wish!

How far in advance do I need to reserve my space?

The sooner the better! Fall and Spring are our busiest times of year and we can sometimes fill up weeks in advance during this time. It is always best to give us a call when planning your trip to check our availability (520) 298-7450.

What is your cancellation policy?

Standard cancellation policy: You may cancel your ride up to 3 days prior. Cancellations within the 3 day window will be charged in full.

Holiday week cancellation policy: For rides booked during a holiday week, you may cancel your ride up to 7 days prior. Cancellations within the 7 day window will be charged in full.

If your group is more than 15 minutes late your ride may leave without you and you will be charged in full.

Do you offer any group rates or discounts?

All guests who elect to pay in cash receive a $5 discount.
